Spring is here!

As you very well may have noticed, it’s Spring!

We asked some of you on our FB page whether you follow the ol’ ”only wear white after Easter and before Labor Day” rule. Some of you do, some of you don’t. Some felt it was fun to follow the seasons and switch their wardrobe to bright, Spring colors. Others want to feel more free and take the “Why limit yourself?” approach.

Personally, I think you should wear what you want, when you want. If changing with the seasons makes you happy, go for it! But, if you want to be a rebel and wear our sexy bright new corsets all year round, we certainly couldn’t blame you.

Feelin’ Sexy – What Is Your Color?

I was sitting here this morning trying to come up with something to write about. On Wednesdays we like write about something sexy (it is “hump day” after all!). What was the first thing that came to mind? A customer’s question from a call I had a week or so ago. She was new to the whole “lingerie thing” and wasn’t sure what to get. So, I asked her what colors she likes and what colors she usually wears in blouses/tops, since that is a great starting point for anyone unsure or slightly uncomfortable about buying sexy goodies. She said that her wardrobe is mostly black, but that her eyes really pop when she wears blues or teals, and that she feels extra saucy when she wears red blouses and dresses. So, we picked out a gorgeous deep teal chemise and robe, a couple very sexy red babydolls and a gorgeous red corset. I even received an email from her after she got them, saying that she loved the way the teal complimented her eyes, and that she felt extremely confident in the red babydoll and corset. She said that even her boyfriend commented on how confident and sexy she looked! And that is really what it boils down to: Confidence is key. Sometimes something as simple as “your color” can make you feel super confident and super sexy.

So, if you are ready to strut your stuff in something new, but aren’t quite sure what to get, just ask yourself: What is your favorite color when you want to feel sexy? What color helps you feel confident?

With Thanksgiving fast approaching, I couldn’t help but remember the old tradition of going around the table with each person saying what they are thankful for. So, let’s do that here! I’ll go first.

We are thankful for our amazing customers! We are thankful that in a society that seems to strive for skin-deep perfection, we can help to promote a love of real beauty and real women. Women come in all shapes and sizes, and there is real beauty in each and every one.

Okay girls. Can we just say: Yummy. Because you definitely have been!

We were a little apprehensive about showing a man on our Plus Size Women’s website, but from your responses it seems we should have done this sooner!
