Bud Heavy

I just received a link to this youtube video. It’s a spoof on a Bud Light ad entitled “Bud Heavy”. I really felt like I was going to enjoy watching it as soon as the man in the video asked his stick thin girlfriend why she only drinks light beer. She slaps him after he makes a reference to her being “small boned”.

Cut to a clip of three plus size women. Although they appear sexy and confident, I can’t figure out if this is a spoof about fat women or a spoof about light beer. Either way, it left me feeling uneasy.

That commercial felt like a spoof of curvy women. I, for one, didn’t like it at all.

I was intrigued when I began watching as well…only to be let down once again. If you read the synopsis of the video, it says “Step up to the big time with the only beer for guys who measure their fun in tons.” Sad.

Janice sums it up perfectly. “Step up to the big time with the only beer for guys who measure their fun in tons”(synopsis of the video..NOT Janices comments/remarks.) Being a man who don’t like women stick thin,small boned or however else it can be said. Give me a woman with some real curves! I dont think that too many men will admit to that but I may be wrong.

I think this was some sort of superbowl response ad. There are some others on youtube as well. A contest, perhaps.

I know I’m not laughing!
I am a football girl from way back, and I love the superbowl ads,
but this one is just rude.
I never understood why guys would go for a girl that is so thin. A woman with curves is sexier, not to mention healthier. LOL!!!!

I would agree that it was in pretty poor taste. I checked out the web site mentioned at the end and most of this guy’s stuff is like that. He’s one of those guys who thinks he’s really funny and I’m sure his friends or his mom tell him he’s funny. But he’s not.

As a fan of the type of voluptuous and curvy woman who is in the video, I’ll be watching it over and over. I think it shows curvy women as being a lot more fun and sexier than skinny women. And that’s the truth!!

I respect everyones opinions.. but im a big woman myself and I didn’t get offended by this at all… Im sure you noticed there were 3 big women in the video and they weren’t in fat suits so they were actually big women.. I’m sure that if it were a video made to make fun of big women they wouldnt have had anything to do with it. I may be wrong.. I’m just having a hard time seeing why this video is offending people.

I think the video is making fun of everyone, it is not a world changing statement. It is after all about beer and women, not exactly things that bring out the high IQ in script writers. But that being said, the big girls are the ones who came out the winners. They were hot! and they looked really sexy. They were having a lot more fun than the skinny chick. I love big girls!!! I would love to have been the guy acting in the video. ” I’m sorry, but I think we need to do that take over again. Could you smash me between the cleavage at a slightly different angle this time? I am having trouble understanding my characters motivation”
