I have to say I love it when I hear from our boys and girls serving our country overseas. So here’s my personal call out to them all: I truly appreciate everything you are doing for me, my family and friends and our country. Because of you, I can live the life I have!

To all you boys overseas, I think it’s so sweet that you are thinking of your girls at home, and sending them things for special occasions or preparing them for your homecoming.

I also love hearing from all of you wives and girlfriends. Sharing the excitement in your calls and emails, because you know your guys will be coming home soon and you’ll be surprising them with something sexy, just makes my day. As the makeup artist on the shoot, I got to work behind the scenes, experiencing much of what happened on that day.  Viewers were outraged at the way she treated not only the idea of plus models, but the women who were her clients, from Plus Model Magazine, by offering fruit loops (you know, because fat people eat fruit loops, right??? – I mean, really!)  Some even turned off the television in disgust!

So how shall I put this lightly… or not? Her show does not promote any type of positive body image. In fact, I think that it feeds eating disorders instead.

What did you think?  Is Janice wrong to treat plus size models (and plus size people in general) this way, or is she just running her agency the way any business owner would?

And how about her blog post “I don’t hate fat people, or any people” Do you think she is sincere?

It was crazy last week – both in our corporate offices and at the warehouse. Halloween is one of our busiest seasons and just as our need for warehouse space has increased, our demand for our amazingly sexy Witch Hat has increased too. In fact the popularity of our hats blew us away. It was utter chaos trying to get more in production in time for Halloween deliveries… in the middle of moving our entire warehouse to a new and larger facility. (Almost twice the size!) We had to figure out how to keep shipping orders during the transition – and keep up the witch hat production to meet the demand. As of yesterday we are happy to report the move is complete and we did it with no down time. We had a few back orders but are pretty much caught up now. Hats off to the warehouse team who have been working 7 days a week to complete this daunting task.

As for the witch hats, we had no idea how popular they would be. This year we wanted to give people the option of creating their own costumes using pretty lingerie they could wear the rest of the year. We know the economy is shaky but people still want and need to have fun. We want to make sure we are giving them value. With lingerie as a foundation, customers can add accessories, hats, wands, boots, riding crops, tiaras, gloves, gauntlets, etc. to create spooky, sexy or innocent personas.
